What are cookies?

Categories of cookies we use

1. Strictly necessary

• cookie-consent-v1 (local storage) — records whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies. Retention: until you clear browser storage.
• theme (local storage) — remembers light/dark mode. Retention: until you clear browser storage.
• Authentication session cookies (when signed in) — issued by our authentication provider to keep your session active. Retention: session or up to the session lifetime configured by the provider.

2. Analytics (consent required)

We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) to load Google Analytics 4 (GA4), which helps us understand aggregate traffic, popular pages, and general site performance. These are only activated after you click Accept on the cookie banner. Google acts as an independent data processor; see Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Ads Data Processing Terms.

Google Tag Manager itself does not set tracking cookies but loads the tags above once consent is granted.

Consent Mode

We implement Google Consent Mode v2. Until you make a choice, analytics and advertising storage default to denied, so no GA4 identifiers are stored. When you click Accept, we update consent to granted and GA4 begins recording. Clicking Reject keeps consent denied and GA4 does not set cookies or identifiers.

How to manage your consent

• On this site: use the cookie banner shown on your first visit. To change your choice later, clear the cookie-consent-v1 value from your browser’s site data — the banner will appear again on your next visit.
• In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. See instructions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
• Opt out of Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Do Not Track

Because there is no consistent industry standard for Do Not Track signals, our site does not respond to them. Please use the cookie banner or your browser controls to manage tracking.
